Recruitment – it can be a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.

Luckily Cordant People are here to assist with your recruitment needs and help you understand what’s going on in the recruitment world, making the process as easy as possible for you, your organisation and our candidates.

Before we start

It’s really important for us to know your recruitment process straight away to manage candidate expectations. Get your ducks in a row; make sure you have the sign off to recruit, before entering into the recruitment process.

First some lingo

Active Candidates – People actively looking for new career opportunities. Passive Candidates – People who are not looking for work, but if the right opportunity was presented to them, they may jump ship.

The current situation

Unemployment levels are at an all time low and this means the active candidate pool has shrunk and those amazing candidates you are looking for are IN DEMAND!

How Cordant People get you the right candidates for your roles and organisation

We work on your behalf to target both active and passive candidates. We invite relevant candidates in to register with us and give them the low down on the opportunity. Candidate details are then passed to you for interview selection. Speedy feedback is important here, if you mull over those CV’s for too long, the best ones may just get away.

This is where it can get a little bit tricky…

Candidate availability is low but… there’s a lot of opportunities. In a Candidate / Vacancy mismatch situation, the CANDIDATE IS KING. What we are seeing time and time again is clients waiting too long to make an offer to the candidate that they know they want… by the time they get there, someone else has waded in with an offer.

What we’re saying is…

When you find the one, you need to secure them before someone else does. We can’t advise you enough that being prepared, knowing your internal recruitment process and ensuring you can make a speedy offer post interview is key to bagging that star candidate.
