We’re a part of the UK’s largest social business.

It’s good to give a little something back. It’s even better to give a big something back. That’s why in September 2017 Cordant Group became a social business. It means we can channel our profits and skills in to projects that benefit local communities as well as society as a whole. What could be more fulfilling than that?

Our parent company is already involved in some exciting projects. Here are some of the specific ways Cordant People is contributing to Cordant Group’s community efforts.

Career advice for candidates, rewards for employees

Yikes. Navigating your career can feel daunting sometimes. But anyone can come to us for free career advice, CV tips and job recommendations. Once you land a full-time job through Cordant People we will visit you to make sure you’re happy in your new role and offer you resources to advance your career skills. We also offer monthly awards for our candidates working in temporary positions.

Working with schools and local communities

We have branches in more than 40 locations across the UK. In each of these communities we are starting to work with schools and colleges to provide career advice and CV tips to inspire the workforce of tomorrow. We also are looking to work with local charities to assist disadvantaged people into employment. In a broader sense we keep a constant lookout for opportunities to get involved with local initiatives aimed at improving the communities we work in.

Helping our clients meet their CSR efforts

Lots of our clients are as excited as we are about giving back to local communities. Many are actively involved with community projects of their own. So whenever we see an opportunity to help, we take it – forming partnerships with our clients to drive successful project outcomes.

Sponsored career development opportunities

Doing right in the community begins by doing right by our staff. As well as a number of training and rewards schemes that we have in place, we also encourage staff to request sponsorship for any additional career development courses or qualifications they wish to pursue.
