Our client, a family run business based on the outskirts of Maldon, with an impressive turnover of £20 million are seeking a confident and self motivated individual to join their office team of 4. You will be responsible for handling accounts duties within the office but, being a small team, when required, it is all hands to the pump to support with the full office function. This can include anything from liaising with suppliers to obtain prices, arranging transport and accommodation, handling site queries and supporting the Office Manager with audit preparation and filing.

Duties:

Purchase Ledger using Sage 50 Cloud Accounts:

Opening supplier credit accounts and obtaining and reviewing T and C’s

Accurate coding and inputting of purchase invoices

Preparing weekly purchase ledger bank payments

Sales Ledger – raising ad-hoc sales invoices and following up to ensure payment received

Bank reconciliation using Sage

Credit card reconciliations and expense claims

General office administration including full support to other office staff, and remote site staff, as and when required

Essential skills

Applicants must have previous experience handling purchase ledger duties

Applicants will have previously worked in a role where they were responsible for both accounts and administration duties within the business

An excellent working knowledge of Sage is required and agency tests will need to be completed
