My client is looking for a Sales Engineer to join its market leading Drives department.
This is a very exciting and unique opportunity. The client sells low and Medium voltage Variable Speed Drives into lots of different sectors from Water to Food and Beverage. The companies Drives division is a market leader in the UK and indeed Globally.
The position will be Home based but will report to the Warrington office. There will be lots of training and support provided throughout your probationary period and you will have the full support of your department throughout your career.
You will need to have plenty of solid experience in a technical sales environment, ideally working with drives/Variable Speed Drives etc.
You need exceptional communication skills as you will be building relationships with targeted accounts. In the main you will be account managing established, large accounts and ensuring they are happy. For around 20 % of the time you will need to be identifying and targeting new business to aid the growth of the department.
Overall the candidate needs to be outgoing and personable along with having a knowledge of Drives and experience in a similar role with tenacity and the drive to get stuck in and create a very rewarding future.
Responsibilities will include :
Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets
Establishes and maintains effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering, and align to provide a solution.
Ensures efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
Stay up to date with all admin duties.
Prepares offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager.
Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.
Support and manage the assigned channel partner on a day to day basis technically commercially and with joint visits and customer technical training where required.
HND / HNC or Degree in a related technical discipline
Industry experience, especially in sales of Drives / VSP is strongly desired.
Willingness to travel
Competence in products, applications, markets and competition
Experience of supporting a front end sales operation
Creative thinker with commercial focus, good technical understanding and results orientation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office Skills
Positive, outgoing individual, Proven ability to engage clients over the phone and face to face
Need to be driven!
