Our client based in Maldon seeks an experienced Assistant Yard Supervisor/Manager to join an established and busy team of 16 staff, initially on a Temporary basis with a view to become permanent if all goes well. The company is thriving, even in these difficult times, so they are looking for someone who is available immediately and who will be instrumental in supporting the Yard Manager with ensuring the team is working in an efficient, timely and safe manner.
Responsibilities will include :
Reporting directly to the Yard Manager
Supervising staff on a day to day basis
Ensuring the team are working in a safe and effective way
Oversee loading and unloading areas
Support with hiring and training new staff members
Additional information : –
Hours of work = Monday – Friday 7.30am to 5.00pm (but need to be flexible)
2 x ½ hour breaks, one of which is unpaid.
40 hour week
