Cordant people are currently recruiting for an experienced Executive Chef Manager in a secondary school in the kensington area.

Term time 40hours a week

Job Description:

  • To ensure the highest standards of food and beverage preparations, cooking and presentation at all times and in accordance with Accent and client expectations
  • Fully utilise fresh foods and Cook from scratch wherever possible
  • Directly support and develop the skills of the team to maintain standards and continually develop the catering service
  • Assume active daily responsibility for the food preparation on site, guiding and ensuring that all products leaving the kitchen are correct in texture and taste prior to service in any area of the contract
  • Assisting in food preparation, working directly within the team to improve food standards and correct use of ingredients
  • Working as part of the team on a daily basis producing menu items on either site as required, taking direct responsibility for food ordering and control at the site
  • Ensure the food standards at each site is to company and client requirements
  • Personally provide direct chef cover in the absence of Chef/s, stepping in and producing the food offer in line with menu requirements – therefore self-covering the site
  • Menu planning and recipe collation/preparation in line with the “ethnicity” of the student body
  • To provide any additional services as required to include hospitality provision, menu’s, food and beverages and costings for said service.

  • The maintenance of budgeted costs and standards of service
  • Ensuring the unit is run to meet company guidelines and legal requirements
  • Completion of any other reasonable requests from your line manager
  • An innovative approach, and focus on food and services


  • Undertake weekly stocktake to ensure correct stock levels are adhered to as well as wastage controls
  • Monitor sales and costs jointly with the Operations Manager to keep within agreed budget levels
  • Maintain up to date cashless systems to include correct tariffs and accurate till management
  • Accurately record cash taken and bank appropriately
  • Maintain accurate and complete petty cash records ensuring an accurate balance on a weekly basis
