We recruit Hospital Cleaners / Domestic Assistants for various shifts – this is an ongoing role with AM/PM/night shifts; full & part time shifts are available depending on interest
You must have an existing DBS or be prepared to undertake a DBS check
- AM / PM / night shifts available depending on your interest
- Weekdays and weekends available
- Immediate start
Hospital Cleaner – Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and sanitising of all communal work areas including toilets, corridors, offices and work areas in preparation for work
- Cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning surfaces i.e windows, doors, beds, chairs etc
- Antibacterial cleansing of handrails
- Emptying bins and to be responsible for the correct use of waste streams for the safe disposal of waste and recycling
- Responsible for ensuring documentation is filled out correctly e.g. flushing records, cleaning sign off records
- Using cleaning machines (where applicable – training provided)
Hospital Cleaner – Key Skills
- Good communication skills with excellent time keeping and punctuality and communicate with other staff/visitors/patients as required in a friendly, courteous and helpful way
- Good understanding on COSHH, always following manufacturer’s instructions and ensuring COSHH regulations are adhered to
- Knowledge of COSHH & colour coding system (desirable, not essential)
- Previous cleaning experience would be advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Pay attention to detail and take responsibility for their own work
- Be able to work unsupervised
The successful candidates will need to show the ability to work as part of a team or unsupervised when required with an eye for detail and have the drive to ensure the cleaning service is delivered to a high standard in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.
