Due to ongoing growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Internal Sales Representative to join an established ambitious pump repair specialists based at their site in Prescot, Liverpool.

The company are a well-established and respected engineering organisation, with a growing and stable client base in the electrical / mechanical service industry, serving large manufacturing and utilities organisation across the UK.

You will be expected to have industrial experience in the Automation Industry, ideally with knowledge in the Drive and Motor Sector. Although the position is based in Prescot there will be an ongoing requirement to attend customer site’s.

The Internal Sales Representative responsibilities will be:

  • Liaise and support the External Sales Team, with technical and commercial quotations and advice
  • Liaise with key suppliers and stakeholders to offer the best solution to the customer
  • Liaise with P&L Manager and Workshop staff
  • Liaise with Stores and Purchasing Department
  • Incoming customer enquiries via Telephone and E-mail
  • Pre-qualify customers, both Technical and Commercial requirements
  • Produce clear and accurate quotations
  • Follow up on open opportunities with customers and negotiate quotation and close sales
  • Assisting with any other duties as and when required
  • Attending Customer site’s as part of a site team as and when required
  • Attending relevant internal meetings as and when required
  • Attending training courses either internally or externally as and when required
  • Assisting Account Managers and the clients where necessary
  • Ensuring continuous improvement within the Sales department in line with the business objectives

The Internal Sales Representative will have:

  • HND / HNC or above in Electrical and Mechanical discipline or 5 years technical experience in the Electro-Mechanical Industry
  • Good understanding of the Electro-Mechanical Industry
  • SHE experience
  • MRP / ERP experience
  • Experience working in a sales environment
  • Well organised
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Customer Focused
  • Computer Literate

Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Salary: Competitive
