Scope and Purpose of Role
As the successful candidate you will assist the Payroll Manager ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff salaries through the computerised payroll system. You will be vital in ensuring all payroll operations are kept confidential.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of end to end payroll processing including statutory legislation including calculating SSP, SMP and other Statutory Payments
Assisting in the administration of the company’s pension schemes
Accuracy to add starters, leavers and amendments to the payroll system
Able to demonstrate good communication skills at all levels of the business and assist in internal and external queries
Strong administrative skills with an ability to pick up systems quickly
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to work on your initiative to solve queries; escalating where necessary
Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload to achieve tight deadlines
