    Ashton-Under-Lyne, Greater Manchester Accountancy Posted 12.02.21 £20000 - £24000 per annum

    -£20,000-£24,000 (dependant on experience)

    -Full time, permanent and office based.

    Key responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    * End to end processing of the monthly payroll (360+ staff) in line with a defined schedule, ensuring full control checks prior to the final submission.
    * Calculation of variable data (sick pay, overtime, ad-hoc payments) for upload into the ADP payroll system
    * Accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, leavers and terminations and continued maintenance of fixed data
    * Calculate statutory payments in compliance with HMRC legislation
    * Compliance with statutory requirements for P11D’s, P45’s, P60’s and the EOY process
    * Submit data to various third parties including pension returns, attachment of earnings and salary sacrifice schemes
    * Month end reconciliations of payroll and expense SAP accounts
    * Administration of the Concur expense system
    * Ensuring claims are processed in accordance with the Company Expense Policy
    * Training and advising new and existing employees on the Concur expense system
    * Support the transactional team when required
    * Ad hoc duties

    Essential skills:

    • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail with excellent numerical skills
    • Strong knowledge of Excel and Word
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to work to strict deadlines
    • Demonstrates up to date knowledge of current payroll legislation and is confident using payroll software
    • Strong team member

    Essential skills/qualifications:

    • Several years experience working in a payroll related role including End of Year processes
    • Experience of payroll systems software
    • Experience of managing end to end payroll processes
    • An understanding of UK PAYE and Benefits legislation

    Knowledge of SAP, Concur and ADP desirable.
