Vacancy – Sales Support Administrator with Science background
Salary – £22,000 – £27,000 DOE
Working hours – 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday
My client who is based at Glasgow Science Park is looking for an experienced Sales Support Administrator to join their busy Sales Support and Marketing team. Overall Purpose of the Job
  • To provide effective support for the UK sales team and their customers
  • Maximise customer satisfaction by providing first class customer service at all times
  • Follow up with customer on any enquiries or issues either via telephone or email
  • Liaise confidently and comfortably with their European office
  • Upselling products to existing customers
Job Description
  • To be the office-based point of contact for customers in the UK for enquiries
  • To liaise with Technical Service department to coordinate the handling of complaints relating to products
  • To update and utilise the current CRM system and support the UK Sales team with training and support
  • To plan and coordinate marketing campaigns in conjunction business plans and needs and to implement/coordinate in-house events (training will be provided)
  • Assist in developing a training programme in order to maximise engagement of customers and the UK
  • Proactively liaise with product managers and at to ensure that there is engaging product literature, technical and promotional information
  • Work in conjunction with the UK Sales Manager to monitor sales and performance of products in the UK to better understand the products
Other Information
  • The role will involve visiting and phoning customers, institutes, government bodies in order to learn more about the market and the test requirements including forthcoming legislation, market trends, research projects and competitors as this relates to the UK
  • Also some travel to European office and UK conferences will be required
  • Be adaptable for covering other roles within the team (training given)

The ideal candidate will have

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Displace excellent attention to detail
  • Have previous Sale Support experience
  • Marketing experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Polite telephone manner
  • Experiences with Microsoft Office systems, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to multitask and handle the pressure of a busy day
  • Can work on own or as part of team
