Technical Administrator / Assistant – initially 6 months (could be extended). Salary on application (DOE)
Our prestigious Daventry client is looking for a Technical Administrator / Assistant to assist and support the design engineering department to ensure technical documentation is completed and updated as required.
Key responsibilities of the role will be:
Compile and co-ordinate technical data as required
Primary focus will be to sort out technical documentation to ensure that all current technical documentation is correct and up to date
Put information together to provide clear operation instructions, service manuals and internal engineering documents to assist the design engineers
Analyst current technical “jargon” into everyday language for all users to understand
Access and interrogate 3D drawings
Translate old data into new formats
Review published online technical content and update as required
Create new technical document templates
Carry out general administrative duties as required and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Experience of working in a technical / design / product development environment
Able to read and understand technical information, diagrams, schematics and technical drawings
Able to translate and communicate technical information to non technical end users / customers
Excellent IT skills, proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Working experience of 2D / 3D CAD preferred
The role is working Monday to Thurs 0830-1700 and Friday 0830-1600 – 39 hours, the role is initially for 6 months and salary is dependent on experience.
